Railroad c/f Hobbyline

This is a good way for Hornby to maximise profits in these uncertain times:

Interestingly the Lima version is 2/3 the price of the Railroad. Who said things were dearer on the Continent? :o
There are few rights and wrongs in model railways - just different.

If you look closely you'll see that one comes with the loading bay, 4 cars and the transporter, the other is just the loading bay.

Well "looking closely" at the Hornby catalogue [p133] it says: "Car transporter and cars not included".

 I think you've been told poliss! lol

I see what you're saying about Hornby profits. It is exactly the same item and adding an extra 50% on the original prize is huge! Imagine a £100 lima loco sold by Hornby for £150! :o We would all definately notice then. Its the small increases I dont notice.

What it says in the Hornby catalogue is neither here nor there. The adverts are on the Ontracks website. One shows the loading bay with the transporter, the other has the transporter greyed out. If you're saying that neither comes with the transporter then it looks like a case for the Advertising Standards Agency to investigate.
