October News Page and Video

Postby Stufiley on Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:05 pm

Here is a link to my news page for October, with the rolling stock I have found this month:

as usual the best way to view the video is to got to:

and watch in high quality. I think the best bargain of the month has to be the AT & SF tank loco which was only £2.19 fully working and in quite good order! The german track cleaning wagon is quite strange and I don't know anything about it, if any one else does please let me know. It was in yellow with german on the side, but I gave it a coat of paint.

6 locos in one month! The credit crunch hasn't affected someone!

Nice video Stu. ;) I love all those low down views you do. Its actually like your watching the trains go by from the line side. You certainly now have a great ranch of locos.

Nice work ;)

I wish the CC hadn't hit me. But all of these locos have been obtained quite reasonably. The Pug, The J72 and the schools class all came from an auction in Scarborough. This was the only lot I bought and it was £55 for all three boxed and in mint condition. One chap at this auction spent over £1000 on model railway stuff. There was a hugh amount of stock and three full layouts. This spend however was the equal to what it would cost me to get to the NEC for Warley, so just to make sure that I don't spend anymore I won't be making the trip this year, maybe next though!
