Turntable vis DCC Operation

Postby rayf12 on Sun Sep 07, 2008 8:34 pm

I have installed the Hornby T/T on my DCC layout, I have followed the instructions given on the Hornby website showing you how to convert it for DCC operation with a decoder. The problem that I have is that I can get a train onto the approach track, and then move it onto the T/T what happens then is that I get no response from the train at all so not sure what I have done.

Any help would be appreciated.

Reading it , it looks like they have not told you to wire all the tracks on and off the turntable to the bus . I know with Ryans as i had to fit so it came in on one of the 'out ?' lines there was no power in the middle untill i put a pair of cables over to the 'in' line but his layout runs on dc but its a Hornby turntable

Thanks for reply, but if you are running DC I think it's slightly different operation than with DCC. Is there anyone out there that can help please otherwise I might have to have a re-think and disappoint my godson whsoe layout it is.
***Further Update***

The problem was caused by one of the contacts on the Inlet track not touching then rail, I have sorted it now, and all working.

Thanks
Ray
