Hornby elite

Postby Boris on Tue Aug 26, 2008 7:46 am

ive just got a hornby elite (woop woop) and i was wondering if the sockets on the back, labeled 'boost' could be linked to anoter circuit, to controll two circuits.
basicley, do the 'boost' socets give just power, or data aswell?

I think the booster is for the Hornby 5 Amp booster to be plugged into. I believe this allows either larger layouts to be controlled or larger scales, ie G, to be controlled with DCC.

Yes as Jake says, it is where the Hornby power and signal booster (R8239) will plug in.
DO NOT CONNECT ANYTHING ELSE TO THIS SOCKET.
As I understand it, the boost output is a low level data output only

Some pictures are available of the booster on the Hattons website
