There is a a Railway Modeller Shows You How book about DCC decoder installation that costs just £1 I think (but dearer on ebay!) and one of the locos in it is indeed a Terrier with a good write up. It has several other conversions in it incuding a Lima diesel and a Bachmann split chassis. I successfully chipped my "Portishead" using the guide but used a Lenz Mini Silver rather than Gold as in the text.
