Looks like a much better layout thomas.

Can I suggest two things though:

1 - I would reccomend using the peco turntable, as it looks good, as well as operating well.

2 - I HIGHLY suggest you use peco large radius points, as you have a vast fleet of A4's and they will look awful on those current points and they may struggle.

Anyway your layout is looking superb and the ballasting in the corner looks brilliant.

Peco large points will cost £8 each, but will last say 10 years.

Where as Hornby small points are £4 each maybe and they will last max 5 years. So it is exactly the same price for 10 years.

So you can either have Hornby points that are small, naf and you have to replace them or you can have peco ones, which are more reliable and will last for ever!

But on CP, all my points are Hornby points, and a fair few have lasted for 8 years with no problems. Plus, small points save space.

The layouts coming along great and what a great range of locos, I like the turntable I got an Atlas OO job which for the British modeller would be a no no but it works very well.

All I can see are the very rare skaledale buildings! If he was to sell all those today he would make in excess of £1000. For example that engine shed now goes on ebay for between £50 and £70!

It has some great detail and looks very proffesional. Does by any chance thomas this friend have a dad who is seriously into model trains?
