Once upon a time.......

Postby Rog (RJ) on Thu Oct 23, 2008 6:09 pm

This is a little game for us all to play.

The idea is that we all contribute a sentence or two to the story. Each contributer then specifies a word that the next person must include in the next part.

All members are free to take part. Please use the preview button before you submit your entry, so that you don't post "out of turn"

So to start it off:-

The first thing I noticed was the smell from the engine. It was awful. [banana]

I don't know how someone had managed to shove a banana into the valve gear, and a muffin over the safety valves, but they had, and it wasn't pretty. (Screwdriver)

The rusty old screwdriver was all I had to clean this baby up. Surely someone could have eaten that muffin!? [Pig's ear]

I didn't care about the smell or other people laughing at me as I cleaned the mess, people said I was pachydermatous, but I didn't care because I'm thick skinned. (rain-coat)

Over in the other corner, other staff were training people from the NRM about how to care for this beast, now that she was moving to York from Swindon. (Oxo cube)

Then, across the beach, I saw Gordon Brown, who just happened to be ambling around near some deep water. (Fluffy kitten.)

As Gorden is having a rough time we took pity on him and gave him some potatoes to put in his stew (chocolate)

After enjoying his kitten stew and spuds he thought ' Mmmm need something sweet now ' as Percy pulled up covered in chocolate after his little bump at the factory (precocious)

"There's an upside to everything" Gordon thought, the chocolate banishing world crises from his mind momentarily, as he viewed the precocious tank engine.

"Diesel prices are going up, so I think we should bring back the steam engine!" as he checked the stocks on his wireless enabled laptop. [Aeroplane]

After the conversation, Brown made a public announcment, annoucing he was to bring back steam, and to replace areoplanes with bridges across the sea made out of cocktail sticks. (Marmalade)

Brown then decided it was time for a cup of tea and went to the local café. There he bumped into Paddington bear, who was eating marmalade sandwiches [eye patch]

After Gorden and Paddington finished in the cafe they went out side for a game of rugby which got a bit rough,
Paddington caught Gordon in the eye which turned black so they gave him an eye patch to cover it up,

The next day everyone at the House of commons laughed at him and called him Long John Brown, but he didn't mind because he had his lucky Scull and Crossbones underpants on, and the made him feel unbeatable. (Runner Beans)
