Just keep the name Eastern Promise Models. Too many names confuse people.

Good point Mick.

Start new, so everyone can build up trust with the new company. I would never ever buy from EPM, as from what I heard it has been unrealiable and I am confused wether you can buy from there or not!

Also Paul why not have a web site to link to your new shop and stall that way if someone wants to get other things from you they dont have to travel to your shop.
Its like having a double sided sword,I have never run a shop myself but if i have got something from a shop and have also wanted other things after i have left i have used there web site.

You need to let people know where you are based.
That way, peeps could "kill two birds with one stone" and include a trip to your "Emporium" with a trip to the Nene Valley Railway [as I frequently do with the Midland Rail Centre at Ripley,Derbyshire ...it's only half hours drive down the M1 for me,and the MRC has a model layout and model shop on Ripley Station]
How about Nene Railway Models ....although objections to "NRM" could come from several users of the initials [maybe best to check that out beforehand].
I asume youre gonna be on the main station end of the NVR ...at Wansford ....how about including "Wansford" in the name?
I dunno how popular the NVR is with travellers on the A1,but if I'm travelling "southbound" on the A1,I try include a quick stop/break at Wansford .....the cafe at Wansford Station sells a great cup of coffee and "luvverly" bacon butties [cheaper than the motorway rip-off places too]....maybe you need peeps with an interest in railways & model railways to know about these things, but lets face it,a lot railway enthusiasts have both subjects at heart.
Anyway ....good luck with the enterprise .....and if you are based on Wansford Station I'll prob'ly be visiting you next summer a couple of times as I have a couple of trips to Cambridge planned.
Now  about these discounts for forum members :?: :P

Me and Melly are thinking of using the name Nene Valley Models. .............. if we can expand to the building they currently use as a tiny museum on the other platform. If things go really well, we will be looking at the possiblities of a Sheringham Branch on the NNR there. but that is one for the way distant future.

 "Nene Valley A1 Models" ...... :!: ...it tells peeps who you are, where you are and what you sell ........and it has a "zing" to it [especially to a LNER fan like meself .. ]
The Midland Rail Centre shop isactually part of the Model Rail Club there ....and according to the guy who seems to run it,they sell models at virtually cost price to get people interested in Rail Modelling [they aint as cheap as "Rails of Sheff" ...but theyre cheap]

And if you're at Sheringham by next summer,I might just be calling in there too.....[MrsB & myself are planning on renting a holiday cottage for 10?/14? days in that area ...and its gotta be close to the NNR]
dates planned are ...Sheringham?/Crommer? @ begining of June, and Cambridge,@ late June & Aug Bank Hol.

Good luck with getting it off the ground. The Nene Valley is some where I have not visited. I think it will have to go into next years diary as one to go to. Especially as it looks like they could do with all the help they can get. If your plans go to plan I will have to drop in and buy.
