Cheap people from China

Postby Stufiley on Sun Aug 24, 2008 10:38 am

I have just got a box of the cheap people from China, and I am quite pleased with what I have got. These are not the best quality in the world but to fill an area, that is not in a prominant possition they will do the job well. I got the painted version and would not bother doing this again. The colours are strangs and poorly painted, but it does give a key for repainting. This is what I will do with all of them, so unpainted for me next time. There are only about half a dozen variants but painted different and spread around mixed with good quality people I hope will look efective. These were from Ebay and cost £3.99 for 100, they took about 14 days to arrive, but coming from China I thought this wasn't bad. If you want something to do, 100 of these to repaint for under £5 isn't a bad waste of time. This is the ebayer I got mine from: eleanor0826, but there are quite a few doing these. There are some that are importing these to the UK and selling them for a much hire price, but I would recommend getting them direct from China and saving money. Once I have a good bulk of them painted and placed I'll take some pix and let you see.

The ones I have are 1:75 so they are quite tall. But I have others people that are the Hornby ones that are taller. So they fit in OK.

I hope there's no lead in the paint.
