Did any of you go the the Bluebell Railway for their bus rally last weekend? A friend and I did and it was a great day.
Loads of lovely Southdown, Brighton and London Transport red and green AEC buses, and to top it off, the visiting S&D 7F 2-8-0 53809 was running one of the service trains.
That locomotive is just gorgeous, I'd never seen one in steam until about a month ago, and it's very easy to comprehend why the S&D was, and is, held in such high esteem by so many people when you see and ride behind such a charismatic and elegant loco as the 7F.
