Looking forward to seeing some more details and photos, if possible please?

Sounds like it's going to be an interesting layout.

A TMD as a subject for a layout sounds great - plenty of scope to go for whatever level of detail you want (you could even have spanners on a work bench!)

I look forward to seeing it develop.

The Signal Box do the Peco sheds at £19.75 as opposed to Hattons £23. Every little helps.

Every little certainly does help. I am now on a budget and am watching my pennies. I have added up all I have spent and it is just below £3,000. I buy too much junk that just goes in the loft!

You just might have wasted a lot of money, Jake. Ridley's total cost is £600 and that includes 2 live steam engines costing £467!!

Wanna cheap layout? I'm yer man....

I spent unnessary money. I wish I properly planned it out from the start but when you have so little knowledge, you don't really know what you are doing.

Looks good. Although I would reccomend another siding at the top that curves behind the shed. And perhaps and overgrown abandon siding at the bottom?

When does construction begin?

Raj, can I just say, looks great and all that but it would be more efficient if you had a siding where you can change stock out of the scenic boards for exhibtions. Look forward to being posted and you could probably get that layout in 14' x 2'.

I found with the Revell glue that if you are not careful the yellow plastic aronud the top of the pot cracks if you don't make sure the needle is clean of glue before you put the cap back on the end of it . I have seen a few of the pots taken back for this ,( I do work for a shop that sells Revell kits and paint etc) but it is the best glue i've found to . Also if you have a large flat aera to glue i found there liquid one is good as it comes with its own brush so you can put on a very thin line of glue .
Thats going to be a great layout when its finished but like you said more legs are needed as that is going to be a heavy layout so i hope you have cross bracing to .

Looking foward to seeing how you get on :)

Also one more thing I noticed....those boards look like they are bending in the middle...dont make the mistake I made...my boards warped so much I had to replace some track. And then I had to add supports underneath, which was difficult. Have you correcctly braced underneath?

Just another pair of legs in the middle will sort it and you've done a good job of the kits so far ;)
